I had my last day at T3 yesterday. It was a sad but extremely fun day. I won’t bore you with details but I will say there was a lot of delicious food, a lot of intense ping pong, and a lot of tears. That last one was a lie. There were no tears, but the occasional sniffle seeing as I’m getting sick. What with T3 over, I had to find a new job to help pay the bills and get my experience in the real world going. I searched and searched and finally my hard work paid off.
Starting this upcoming Wednesday, I’ll be working as a Graphic Designer (hurray!) at Tecra Systems, Inc., a software development company in North Austin that’s worked with big clients like Microsoft and IBM. The office is literally ten minutes away and I’m excited – and yes, slightly anxious – about getting to start my path to my dream job. I can’t wait to see what they have in store for me. They also have ping pong there! What luck! Maybe we can play Gnip Gnop (which I just learned is ping pong spelled backwards. Whoosh moment).
In other news, I’ve made some ever so slight tweaks to the site! Think you can pick them out? Hint: check out the background as well as the navigation / logo. I like to think it’s created a lot more depth to the site and added a level of polish to it.
I may be getting some new freelance work soon. Not 100% sure yet but we’ll see! Look forward to an update on that in the next blog entry!
