It’s been a week since I’ve started my robot series. I’m not done but I’ve made a lot of headway with it. I don’t really have much of a timeline or deadline for it. I want to get it done right the first time so it’s just going to take as long as it needs. I’ve designed three new robots to join Dr. Robot (one of which is Dr. Robot’s assistant Crash).
I’m currently working on finishing up Dr. Robot and Crash’s character designs. Once they’re done, I need to design a background scene for them in a robot clinic. I know I want to try to emulate the Machinarium style as much as possible, so leaving a blank background was just not an option. I also have to think creatively as far as what would be in the setting of a robot clinic. It’d be less like a human hospital and more of a car repair shop with barrels of oil, tablesaws, and pliers.
Here’s what I’ve got so far of Dr. Robot (last updated Friday the 16th).
I’ll be working on this and the Happy Ghost website design mockups (yes, I’ve been avoiding it but I’m finally ready to jump back into it again) simulatenously in the next coming weeks. I really do need to get something mocked up for Travis so he can start coding something. We’ve had an under construction sign for our website for far too long.
