This month saw a lot of cheat meals. Mostly pizza-oriented. With our big move to Bend on the horizon, Jason and I have been indulging a bit in our favorite Austin foods. We had Homeslice pizza one weekend and then Pinthouse Pizza another when friends were in town. I would’ve liked to do a cheat meal that wasn’t pizza again, but it was the first place I could think of where we could all go for a quick meal without having to wait too long in a line.
We also went ahead and celebrated our two year anniversary a few weeks early, mostly as an excuse to visit ALC Steaks. Nice thing about steak dinners is it’s keto-friendly! All the indulgence, none of the guilt. We passed on dessert of course and made sure to get keto-friendly sides.

BMI (Healthy range for BMI is 18.5–24.9)
Before keto: 26.4
After 6 months of keto (March 14): 23.7* (down 2.7!)
*lowest for this month was 23.3
I’ve actually gained 0.2 lbs since my last monthly check-in, but that’s to be expected with all the cheat meals. There was also a period where I was sick with a stomach flu and didn’t work out for a week. You would think the stomach flu would’ve helped me lose weight, but apparently not.
This upcoming month will prove interesting with all the moving things. Jason and I will also have to figure out what restaurants up in Bend will have keto options for us. But I’m very optimistic about it. I’m also hoping to meet new people by joining a rock climbing gym there that I saw online, so that’ll be good.
Another nice milestone I’ve reach today: I’ve gone 200 full days without soda! Hurray!
Feels good. There was a period last week where I was really craving one and I was so close to grabbing one out of the fridge at work, but I somehow persevered. I think knowing that I’d have to start my counter back at 0 made me rethink drinking one.
Short check-in today. Just wanted to celebrate six months of keto and show off a before and after picture!
